Loud! hosts an Artists’ Resource Fair as an opportunity for young poets to meet and connect with people who have continued their creative practices throughout their life journeys while drawing from or maintaining a connection to poetry. The Fair will represent a variety of different ways of doing so, from academia, to organizing, to freelance, and more. Our vendors will be tabling right before and after our Headliner Performance.
The Artists' Resource Fair will be located in the
Basement Lobby of the Little Building, adjacent to the headliner performance venue.
The Little Building is located at 80 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116.Booths and artists include:
- The Offering Literary Magazine, which will provide insight into the magazine world and a photobooth to capture the memories made from this weekend.
- The Boston Liberation Center, a Socialist Community Center for and by the working class & oppressed peoples of Boston, will be represented by Kaleigh O'Keefe.
- Alli Tervo will be providing hand-painted earrings, paintings, and hybrid art.
- Dubem Okafor, a Nigerian-American creative delving into music, visual art, and arts education, will be selling prints.
- Maya Das O’Toole will be selling zines that have her writing and art. On the other part of the table, we will have materials (paper, markers, washi tape, stencils) for people to make their own zines on the spot or take materials away to do so.
- Side Quest Books & Games will be selling their merchandise.
- Boston Poetry Slam, which takes place every Wednesday at the Cantab Lounge, will be represented by Aparna.
- Emerson College will have a booth set up to discuss their programming with prospective or interested teens.
- Mass Poetry's Teen Council is creating a Cento Poem, which teens will have the opportunity to contribute to over the weekend.
- Mass Poetry will also provide a merch table for all your swag needs.
